DR. ROBLENA E. WALKER

Dr. Roblena E. Walker is the Founder, and Chief Executive Officer of EMAGAHA, INC., a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public health organization dedicated to Educating, Empowering, and Evolving TM lives through mentoring.  She is a skilled Scientist and Professor with over 15 years of both global research and academic teaching experience. Dr. Walker formerly worked as a Molecular Biologist and Scientific Instructional Designer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Her bio includes being crowned the 68th Miss South Carolina State University, and model and fashion designer are also in her repertoire. Dr. Walker is the first African American woman to inspire a customer-based collection with the specialty women’s apparel chain, New York, and Company.  The collection was designed with women of all shapes, sizes, and colors in mind. She designed, styled, and starred in her nine-piece collection in the brand’s campaign, #IAmNYandCO.

Dr. Walker was awarded the Living Legend Award from the House of Hope Atlanta, Who’s Who in Black Atlanta in Education and Leadership, and obtained a Global Health Delivery Certificate from Harvard University.  She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and has a four-legged son, Fluffy; a Shih Tzu. Dr. Walker fulfills her purpose daily by empowering all she encounters to dream big dreams and to remember that all dreams can come true. All you have to do is dream, believe them, and achieve them. Keep the faith; all things are possible with God. 

 

 
I go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path. I always dance as though EVERYBODY is watching and I march to the beat of my own drum. I stubbornly refuse to fit in. I love my life!
